The X2 has been designed for good solid media playback from a Hard Drive, USB device, SD Card, Internet or Local Network source. The MED45X2 is equipped with advanced features like Fast Gigabit Port and Super Fast USB 3.0 Slave port and is upgrade ready for the fast PCIe WiFi kit that will be available as an optional aftermarket upgrade kit. The Mede8er fully supports the very latest video codec's such as MKV-H264, BDMV, BDISO, M2TS for seamless playback of all supported media files. You can now pass full HD Audio streams via HDMI to your amplifier for a full 7.1 surround sound experience.

The MED450X2 supports Online Media Streams, so now you can launch YouTubeXL and browse or search the online videos of your choice. X2 will also stream Video Podcasts such as World News, US News, Technology, Entertainment, and Sports from all over the world. You can also browse the Internet or listen to Internet Radio or just enjoy Social Media like Facebook and Twitter. For correct system operation we recommend the use of an optional external wireless keyboard when using  the Internet Browser.

Unique Mede8er Media Library with XML Med Data

MED450X2 is equipped with a new and exciting feature called XML Med Data that displays certain Movie information while you browse through the Media Library. The XML Med Data will display the Movie Rating, Synopsis Plot, List of Actors and the Movie Run time.  In order to take advantage of the XML Med Data you will need to scan your collection with Y2M (YAMJ To Mede8er) or ThumbGen in order to make the required XML files.

Now its easier than ever to sort and filter your movie collection by pre-defined Mede8er filters. Any folder on your internal Hard Drive, USB Drive, Network Share can be converted to a XML Jukebox and as an added benefit X2 also supports a nested folder arrangement. Just scan the folder with the built in Scanner Function and X2 will be ready to filter your content in a quick and efficient manner. In order to enjoy the XML JukeBox function you will need to arrange your collection to the Mede8er standard and use Y2M or Thumbgen to generate the xml data.

Superb in movie navigation. Now you have all the Video information as your fingertips and you can easily navigate your videos like never before. With the built in "Goto" function and "Info Search" you will be able to navigate and find what you are looking for quickly and efficiently.    

Unique Mede8er View Manager... Five Custom Views

The customized User Interface is new and fresh and based on the new Casablanca platform. The unique built-in 5 level View Manager will change the way you view your Media. The GUI is fast and responsive with all the required information in the right place. Now you can browse your Movie Collection in full "Movie View" with Movie Metadata information such as Movie Rating,  Actors, Plot Information in full view.

Although the Mede8er is designed by Professionals we are also Users. Therefore a lot of thought has been put into the functionality of the MED450X2 to make it simple to use by all ages. So based on past experience and user comments we placed a very high level of importance on designing a function that will make setting up and using the MED450X2 a real dream.   

The MED450X2 is equipped with a powerful function that we call Favourites. Basically it is a list of Shortcuts that you the user easily create yourself. The Favourite Link will work as a shortcut link to shared folder on your Local Hard Drive, hosted USB Drive, Samba and NFS Network Share. Our Favourites Manager will consolidate all your paths and links into one Favourites page no matter where the folders reside. So you can have multiple links residing on multiple locations all presented on one easy to read and manage Favourites page. Once the Favourite link is launched you will be presented with all of the folders contents in its normal native structure irrespective of the folder level depth. You can also easily remove a Favourite Link at any time should you wish to do so.  

Full Parental Control and built in Watched Indicator
                                                                             
The MED450X2 has a built in Pin Code Protection manager that allows you to limit access to folders locally or on your network. Now you can easily protect your family and kids from adult and sensitive material.  The Pin Code folder protection is managed in the Setup console and can be enabled or disabled by the authorized user at any time.

The built in watched indicator will automatically display video content that has already been watched on the Mede8er. This feature is  particularly useful for those who watch a lot of TV Series and require a method of tracking the episodes that have already been watched. 

ABC Alpha Med Jump

The built in Alpha Jump really makes browsing your media a breeze. How often do you have to browse through pages and pages of files just to find the file you want to play? Not anymore, with the X2 you can now press any Alpha Numeric key on the remote and a screen prompt will display your selection and then X2 will jump to your selection.
